Walker Racing team, founded by Derrick Walker in 1991, raced originally in the CART Championship Car series. In 2000 Walker entered the Indy Racing League’s IndyCar Series with rookie female driver Sarah Fisher. Sarah took 3rd place in Kentucky in 2000 as her highest result. In 2001 Fisher continued to be unstable, but sometimes fast, scoring a career-best finish of 2nd place at Homestead-Miami Speedway. She was 19th in final standings of the series with 188 points.
