Helio Castroneves continued to drive for Penske Racing for sixth consecutive season. In 2004 season he was joined by Sam Hornish after De Ferran retired from IndyCar. Castroneves scored several podiums and won the final race of the season at Texas Motor Speedway. Castroneves finished fourth in the drivers’ championship with 446 points, while Sam Hornish was 7th.
