Chip Ganassi Racing discontinued the sponsorship from discount retail giants sponsor Target after 27 straight years of direct participation. Team also returned to Honda in a multi year deal and thus discontinuing Chevrolet partnership. The team’s lineup remained unchanged for 2017. Team entered four cars for Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, Charlie Kimball, and Max Chilton. For Kanaan 2017 would have his worst and last season in the No.10 NNT Data Chevy for Ganassi. Tony scored a single podium (second place at Texas) and finished the season 10th with 403 points.
