The 2010 Renault F1 car was driven by polish Robert Kubica and Russian Vitaly Petrov who became the first Russian driver in the Formula One World Championship. Kubica achieved two 3rd places – at Monaco and Belgium – and finished the season eights. Petrov scored 27 points and was 13th. In the final round of the season in Abu Dhabi, Petrov pitted under an early safety car period. Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber both came out behind him and Petrov remained ahead of them until the end of the race, which stopped the title contenders’ progress and enabled Sebastian Vettel to win the title.
