French driver Anthony Janiec spent the early part of his career in junior formulas in 2001-2006. In 2004 he won F3 French Cup, was runner-up in this competition in 2005, and in 2006 was 2nd in the Trophy Class within the Formula 3 Euro Series. Due to lack of sponsorship to continue racing in open wheelers, he moved to truck racing joining in 2007 popular French Team 14.
In the 2009 season he drove Renault Premium truck #12 and finished the season 12th with 47 points. Janiec raced in the ETRC with Team 14, Truckdrive-JRT and Lion Truck racing until 2021, scoring 4 victories and 6th overall position (in 2016). His was most successful in the French Truck Racing Cup where he competed in 2017-21. Janiec was French champion in 2017-2019, and runner-up in 2021, winning 45 races in this series. Janiec died in 2022 after a heart attack at age of 37 years old.
