Harri Luostarinen, son of Sisu Auto top manager Heikki Luostarinen, started his career in European truck racing with Sisu and won first of his three titles in in 1993 in the Class B. In 1995 he moved to Chris Hodges team to drive first ZIL-Caterpillar (in 1996) and then Caterpillar TRD. In 1997 he won the main Super Trucks class and repeated his success in 2000. In the 1998 season driving car No. 1 (as 1997 champion) Luostarinen finished second in the championship scoring five wins and losing only 13 points to Ludovic Faure in Mercedes-Benz Atego.
