Norev was created by Joseph Veron from a family who started also Majorette brand. The brand name was created by reversing Veron’s last name. Company was founded in 1946 and is based in Villeurbanne, a suburb of Lyon. Norev started with plastic models, while the first diecast metal models appeared about 1965. Company specialization is mostly French cars. Norev headquarter is still in Villeurbanne, while production has relocated to China.
